New skill: the lance charge on horseback
Knights and Magic Gladiators now fight on horseback for real: at full gallop they strike with the lance, throw the enemy out of the saddle and knock him off his feet.
What you need
- A knight or a Magic Gladiator riding a Uniria, Dinorant, Fenrir or horse.
- The active skill — Impale. At a gallop the rider couches the lance by himself.
How it works
- Hold Shift to put your mount into a gallop (not in towns). The gallop lasts from 4.5 to 9 seconds depending on the mount, then it needs 6 seconds of rest (the golden Fenrir — 10).
- Steer your mount at the enemy: the lance strikes by itself when the target is within 4 tiles ahead of you. A target up to 8 tiles ahead is ridden at automatically while you are not holding the left mouse button.
- One charge every 3 seconds. It interrupts the enemy's skill and may bring him down:
- head-on at a galloping rider — 80% to unhorse him;
- at someone standing or on foot — 70% to knock him down;
- at a galloping rider from the side or from behind — 50%.
- An unhorsed rider falls on his back, is thrown back a tile and cannot gallop for 6 seconds. One knocked down also falls and is thrown back.
- A joust: when two riders with couched lances charge at each other, the weaker one (strength + vitality, a difference of 15% or more) flies out of the saddle. If they are nearly equal, both lances break.
The charge works on monsters too.
