New Fenrir riding: gallop, jumps and stamina

Riding a Fenrir or a Dark Horse now feels alive: the beast picks up speed from a standstill, breaks into a gallop, leaps over obstacles, leans into turns and spends its strength on sprints. Every Fenrir now has its own character on the move.

What's new

  • Gallop. Hold Shift while moving and your Fenrir speeds up. It reaches full speed in about a second and slows down just as smoothly when you let go of Shift. There is no gallop in towns or on the Lorencia square.
  • Stamina. Galloping drains the beast's strength: the stamina bar is above the bottom panel on the right. When it runs out, the Fenrir rests, the bar turns red, and you can gallop again only after the rest.
  • Jump. A short tap of Shift makes a jump forward of several steps. After landing, the beast keeps running without stopping.
  • Acceleration and turns. From a standstill the Fenrir speeds up gradually, slows down a little in sharp turns, leans into the turn and raises its head when climbing.
  • Strikes on the move. Single-target skills such as Ice Arrow or Death Stab can be used without stopping: the rider strikes and rides on. Elves shoot their crossbows at full gallop. Your character always stays in the saddle, whatever skill they use.
  • Dark Knight and Magic Gladiator characters can charge with a lance at the gallop: lance charge.

Fenrir kinds

  • Red Fenrir — the basic mount: gallop +30%, 6 seconds of stamina, 5-step jump, 6 seconds of rest.
  • Blue Fenrir — the enduring mount: gallop +30%, 9 seconds of stamina, 5-step jump, 6 seconds of rest. In combat it absorbs 10% of the damage taken.
  • Black Fenrir — the fast mount: gallop +45%, but only 4.5 seconds of stamina, 5-step jump, 6 seconds of rest. In combat it adds 10% damage.
  • Gold Fenrir — the best mount: gallop +45%, 9 seconds of stamina, 7-step jump, but a longer rest of 10 seconds. In combat it gives both bonuses plus extra health, mana, attack and wizardry power depending on the character's level.
  • Dark Horse rides like a red Fenrir.

How to get a Fenrir

  • Red Fenrir: crafted in the Chaos Machine from parts dropped by monsters in Crywolf Fortress (more often during Happy Hours):
    • Fragment of Horn: 20 Splinter of Armor, 20 Bless of Guardian and a Jewel of Chaos — 70% chance;
    • Broken Horn: 5 Fragment of Horn, 10 Claw of Beast and a Jewel of Chaos — 50% chance;
    • Horn of Fenrir: Broken Horn, 3 Jewel of Life, a Jewel of Chaos and 10,000,000 Zen — 30% chance.
  • A red Fenrir can also drop from a Pet Egg with a 1% chance.
  • Blue and black Fenrir: made by upgrading the red one in the Chaos Machine: Horn of Fenrir, 5 Jewel of Life, a Jewel of Chaos, 10,000,000 Zen and a +4 or higher weapon or armor with an additional option. A weapon gives a black Fenrir, armor gives a blue one. The chance depends on the item's price, up to 80%; a Talisman of Luck raises it.
  • Gold Fenrir: the main prize of the GvG Cup.
